They accept the document with a sharp-toothed smile.

"Thank you, darling. In this spirit of generosity, is there anything I can do for you?"

"Yeah. You could hang out with me at lunch?"

Says Miles, hopefully.

"That's fair," Trouble says magnanimously. "Lunch, I can manage."

"Looking forward to it."

Says Miles, choosing to interpret this as a success, if a modest one.
